Michelle
Aka Club CoachHi, I’m Michelle. I started running back in 2002, but didn’t really get the running bug until around 8 years later, when I set up a running club and thus unwittingly set myself on the path that would lead me into coaching. Originally training as a Leader in Running Fitness with UK Athletics, I subsequently took my coaching qualifications through them, and spent around 8 years coaching at Witham Runners in Lincolnshire, before relocating to the northwest where I am now based.
Sam
Aka Club fixer upperHi – I’m Sam.
Lover of exercise, dogs and beer. Less keen on selfies, pop music and Costa. I am a graduate sports therapist based in Worthing and excited to be working alongside We are Run Things.I believe that we share a similar philosophy which is everyone deserves to have access to great support no matter what. I’ll be honest, I’ve not done a lot of work with distance runners. Nor have I run further than 5km in one go without crying.
However, my knowledge on training loads, conditioning and injury management should make up for that. My approach to practice is fairly simple – educate, facilitate and cut out the BS. The world is full of people who will sell you nonsense and take your money… I am not one of those people.
My goal is to keep you fighting fit and doing what you enjoy. So feel free to get in touch, I’m an approachable guy, and ask any questions you might have, no matter how small or insignificant you feel they may be.
Kev and Clare
Aka these twoAnd then there’s us, we’re pretty sure you know who we are by now, but just in case. We’re Kev and Clare or Clare and Kev. Between us, we’ve run somewhere close to 150 marathons, countless training miles, and have plenty a running story to tell. More than that though we both have our own tales of how physical activity has supported and continues to support our mental health (which you can hear about on the pod). We’re the creators of run things, the virtual events you lot love, and now this new shiny club.
